Strategies to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes

  • Increase Physical Activity- At the bare minimum, you need 30 minutes of physical activity, five days a week. Build up slowly, increasing the frequency and difficulty of your workouts.
  • Lose Weight- Combined with the above lifestyle changes, strive to lose 5-7% of your starting weight. If you weigh 200 pounds, your goal would be to lose 10-14lbs initially. It’s important to keep this weight off.
